Business Card: Chandler Kieschnick

For my business card i did a gradient with a stainless steal color background to make it look very modern and futuristic then i added another rectangle on top of it that gradated into a blue color to give it the calming effect. I made my text centered and at the top to attract the eye to it and give it an approachable feel. I put the phone number and email at the bottom and put my logo in between the two so that the eye catches the logo before it jumps down to the text of the email and phone number. On the back of the card i just simply had it all the same blue color as on the front with my logo in the top right hand corner so that either way the card is you always see the logo. The design turned out slightly blurry when put into my blog so some of the letters look bunched together so that could have been changed.

CATE logo - Chandler Kieschnick

For the CATE logo i chose to do a cat because the word cat is in CATE and i chose a black cat because it is very serious and bold and fierce, and then i put a red graduation cap on it to make it more about education and to show that it is about school. I made the graduation cap red because the contrast of red and black really makes the red stand out and pop so it emphasizes the point of education in the logo. First the cats eyes were yellow and i changed them to blue to give it a more calm and friendly look to it. i put the words educate with the acronym of CATE capitalized on the graduation cap so that it will also stand out with the graduation cap.

Logo Design - Chandler Kieschnick

I wanted my logo to be very techy and modern so i chose to do very sharp and straight lines on the K and i made it a greyish silver color to look like metal and steel which i think makes it look very sleek and sharp and professional. I made the C a 3D object and made it look like it is coming through the K. I made the C a dark blue color because i think it really makes the logo have a calm and relaxing feel to it as well as sharp and forceful also I thought it would look more professional if the C was a dark color compared to the light greys i used in the K.
